St. Andrews Church Choir

St Andrew’s choir sings at the 11:30 communion service on the first and third Sundays of each month. In addition to the hymns, our repertoire is drawn from the centuries-old tradition of the Anglican and other Christian churches, including continental composers like Bach, Handel, Mozart and Mendelssohn; Anglican composers such as Byrd, Tallis, Attwood and Elgar; Irish composers including Stanford and Roseingrave; and we’re fairly certain that we gave the Irish premiere of James MacMillan’s “Ave Verum Corpus”.

The choir rehearses from 10:00 on the Sundays when we sing the service. Though small in number, our singers are rich in experience, and we are always ready to welcome new members. If you are interested in adding your voice to the group, please either contact the Rector, or come and speak to Eoin after one of the services.

Eoin Conway, the Director of Music, is a former singer of Christ Church Cathedral and St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, among other professional groups. He has an MA in vocal performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and a BMus from NUI Maynooth.
