Parish Census

The United Parishes has embarked on a major information gathering exercise.

A number of events are scheduled to take place between now and December to mark the 200th anniversary of the consecration of St Andrew’s Parish Church, including a special Service of Thanksgiving attended by The Primate and The Archbishop on Sunday 27th November.

But as well as looking back, and celebrating what has been, the Select Vestry is keen to look forward to the future needs of the Parish.

It is felt that now is an appropriate time to update our Parish Database in order to better serve you and the entire parish community.

The census will primarily aim to establish the number of families wishing to be connected to the Parish, as well as giving parishioners the opportunity to comment on the various ministries that are offered.                                                                                                                      It is also hoped that the process will identify skills and gifts that can be put to use for the benefit of the Parish.

The digital based format will allow parishioners to give details online rather than   filling in of a paper form, however, paper copies of the census are available for those who do not have computer facilities.

Please complete the form and submit via email by clicking the submit button:  Parish Census Form.

If you are unable to complete online, paper copies of the form may be obtained from the Parish Office.

The Rector said: “This is, first and foremost, an opportunity for parishioners to have a say in what we do in St Andrew’s and St Doulagh’s and to make suggestions for the future.

“Malahide has grown significantly in recent years and there are many new people in our midst, with a variety of gifts and skills, that could be put at our disposal.

“This is a very important exercise, and I would appeal to all our people to get involved and to return their census which will only take a few moments to complete.”
