NEW CHURCH ORGAN APPEAL

Categories: News

An appeal has been launched to raise funds to build a new organ in St Andrew’s Church, Malahide.

A project plan has been agreed by the Select Vestry to replace the current organ with a refurbished instrument in 2024.

The present organ has come to the end of its useful life and it has been determined by experts that restoration is not an option or a  viable alternative.

After consulting with several organ builders, the Rector and Select Vestry have appointed O’Donovan Organs Ltd.to restore and install a replacement instrument

O’Donovan Organs Ltd  have restored and installed many organs in Ireland. Recent projects include the restoration and installation of a large Hill organ in Cavan Cathedral and restoring the organ in St Lawrence O’Toole Church, North Wall, Dublin.

Replacing the existing organ in St. Andrew’s is a major undertaking on the part of the parish requiring a significant effort to realise the necessary funds to meet the projected cost of €100,000 approx.

If you can help us by contributing to meet the cost of this major project, it would be very much appreciated.
