We are now in the final stages of this major project, with the Great soundboard the Swell Reeds due to be installed in May.
The remaining outstanding items include, the Pedal Chests and the Collapsing Case Cantilever.
Our organ contractor, Alistair McCartney has stated that he will be totally clear of all restoration activities in July, allowing time for final adjustments, tuning etc. during the month of August.
Alistair says “We are pleased with the way it is shaping up so far and there will be a noticeable improvement soon as more ranks of pipes come online.”
A date for the Re-dedication Service will be announced at a later stage.
