Following their meeting on Monday, 14th December, the Select Vestry presented Norman and Susan with a gift to celebrate and mark this auspicious occasion.

The presentation was made by Ken McAllister, the longest serving member of the Select Vestry.  Hazel Bolton, Hon. Secretary, also addressed the gathering.

Norman and Susan responded, acknowledging and expressing their thanks to the members of the Select Vestry for the wholly unexpected gift.

Norman added that the past twenty-five years had passed quickly, and when he arrived here he had no intention of staying for this very considerable length of time! He has seen many changes in the parish and in the community, and Malahide today is a very different place than it was in 1990. Norman went on to say ” Not all of the changes have been beneficial, but the Parish is called to witness God’s presence and love and I hope that we will continue to do so and to be encouraged by what we have achieved over the years to have a message of hope and love relevant to the needs of an ever changing world. Once again, thank you for a gift which is an expression of love and fellowship”
