St. Doulagh’s 150th Anniversary Celebration

Categories: News

On 16th November we celebrated the 150th anniversary of the consecration of St Doulagh’s in its present form, and the church was filled to overflowing for a service of rededication by the Archbishop. The preacher was Rev. Andrew Studdert Kennedy, whose great grandfather William was Perpetual Curate way back in the 1860s and one of the prime movers in the replacement of the 18th century nave by the present one of such high architectural merit.

A great deal of hard work was put into making the service and the reception afterwards in St Andrew’s School GP Room move so smoothly and we thank all those involved.
